The Museum is a classroom for all learners. We link the past to the present through the stories of baseball and Yogi Berra and other individuals who have distinguished themselves through their accomplishments and character. Through our tours and programs, we emphasize that everyone has the ability to live a long and rewarding life – and even achieve greatness. Yogi Berra is a shining example of someone who continues to inspire by example. Our sports-based educational and public programs attract educators, students and intergenerational audiences. Year-round programs include sports camps, seminars that teach lessons in leadership, author discussions, panel discussions on sports and social problems, and a variety of other special workshops.
We take great pride in our dynamic sports-based educational curriculum at the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center, which reflects and extends the values personified by Yogi Berra. We are expanding our educational approach by soliciting both educators and educational programming to incorporate into our branded outreach. Our current staff of professional educators and volunteers develop and deliver courses and programs to a K-12 audience. We would like to certify additional instructors and programming that leverage sports as a metaphor and tool for character, S.T.E.A.M.* and sports industry training. If you have an interest in teaching or an interesting program to share within our branded construct, please contact the museum at [email protected] or (973)655-2378. The Museum & Learning Center’s ultimate goal is to develop a comprehensive program that sharpens the mind, shapes the body and inspires the hearts of all young people so they are positioned for success in their future.
