Guidelines for Visitors & Museum Safety Protocols

We can’t wait to welcome you back!
But what matters most to us is that you’re SAFE.

That’s why, when it’s safe to reopen, the Museum will follow a line-up of new guidelines in accordance with recommendations from health experts as well as federal, state and local agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the NJ Department of Health (DOH) and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).

Please review these guidelines before your visit so you can get the most out of your experience.

Advance Admission Purchase

Advance purchase of timed admission is required for entry to the Museum. Capacity is limited to groups no larger than ten visitors per session. To purchase admission in advance, visit here.

Health Screenings

All visitors and Museum staff are required to complete a health screening questionnaire, have their temperatures checked and hand-sanitize prior to entering the building. If you feel unwell, visit us another day!

Face Coverings:

Face coverings are required inside the Museum and on the grounds immediately surrounding the facility for all visitors over the age of two. Free single-use masks are available at entry. A limited number of face shields will be available for purchase for those with medical conditions or disability that prevents the safe use of a face mask. Physical Distancing

Physical distancing is required on the grounds immediately surrounding the Museum and throughout the building. Visitors should remain at least six feet from others who are not members of their household.

Hand Sanitizing

Hand sanitizing is required for entry into the Museum. Additional hand-sanitizer stations are positioned throughout the galleries to encourage good hand hygiene.

Directional Markers

Floor markers indicate one-way movement through the Museum exhibits.

Restroom Occupancy

Restrooms are limited to single occupancy. Children may be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Visitors will be asked to hand-sanitize before and after restroom use. 


For “Away” Teams

Travelers from states designated by New Jersey as having significant COVID-19 community transmission are required to quarantine for fourteen days upon entering New Jersey and may not visit the Museum during this period. Visit NJ.gov’s COVID-19 webpage for a list of states currently on the travel advisory list. 


Playing It EXTRA Safe

The Museum has adopted additional procedures and protocols to help secure the health and safety of our visitors and staff. These include:

  • Enhanced daily cleaning and disinfection of the facility before, between and following visitation sessions, using EPA-registered, CDC-approved sanitation and disinfectant products.
  • Ongoing sanitization of high-touch surfaces throughout the day.
  • Increased monitoring and cleaning of ventilation system.
  • Protective barriers in visitor service areas.

The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center is open for business! Advance timed reservations with limited capacity are required for all Museum visits. You can purchase admission online now and select your preferred day and time slot.
