Before Yankees legends gathered Sunday for Derek Jeter Day at Yankee Stadium, they were together Friday in honor of another another all-time great.
The first Yogi Berra Awards Dinner was held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.
Ron Guidry and Willie Randolph — teammates on the 1977 World Series champions, Yankees coaches and spring training instructors later in their careers, and inductees in Monument Park — talked to NJ Advance Media about Yogi’s legacy, the new cast of Baby Bombers and more.
Randolph was in attendance as a guest, while Guidry received the Yogi Berra “Teammate Award.”
