Yogi Berra Museum: ‘NYC’s Golden Boys’ gleam in new exhibit

Seventy-six home runs are fastened on the wall inside the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center.

This lineup of pictures of acclaimed baseball players is aptly titled “New York City’s Golden Boys: 76 Baseball Portraits, 1946-1960.”

They’re legendary stars of the New York Yankees, the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants.

Joe DiMaggio. Jackie Robinson. Elston Howard. Ralph Branca. Mickey Mantle. Monte Irvin. Gil Hodges. Sandy Koufax. Willie Mays. Duke Snider. And, of course, Yogi Berra.

A wing of the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center, on the campus of Montclair State University, is bedecked with rows of 8-inch-by-10-inch oil paintings created by Andrew Jurinko.
